Based around an outrageous plot to steal the Ashes from Lords, The Men in White is a London-set feel-good comedy with old- fashioned roots.
This is a 21st century caper to lift a 19th century fable whose iconic power still divides nations and drives men to triumph or disaster.
A billionaire Maharaja recruits a maverick cricket team to win the mega-money tournament he is sponsoring at the world HQ of cricket: Lords in north London. There are only two provisos placed upon them by the Maharaja; the team must include his only heir, a brilliant young batsman... who just happens to be a gorgeous girl, Anjum and the second, they have to steal the Ashes!
Imbued with the joyously anarchic essence of classic Ealing comedies such as The Lavender Hill Mob and the swaggering élan of Swinging Sixties heist films such as Gambit, The Men In White is The Italian Job meets Escape To Victory, Oceans Eleven comes to St Johns Wood, dressed in immaculate flannels.
